Mini For Megan

I just got finished with this mini album for my daughter Megan.  It was a premade die cut chipboard album that all I had to do was cover it with pretty papers and embellish it and there ya go "A Mini"!  Easy Peasy!  The chipboard album was by BoBunny and I also used the BoBunny paper line Sophie. To Cute!  I hope she loves it!  I just added basic photo mats to the inside and embellished to match the papers and that was it.

Shabby Chic Vanity Project Update

Remember that Vanity project I was working on.  Well, I'm almost there!  I just have the mirror left to paint and then it is all complete.  This is my progress so far, and I think it has come out better that I expected.  It was my plan to sell it, but then who knows, maybe I'll keep it. ;-)  I used Paris Mint paint color all over and then used a Nutmeg glazing on the top and drawers.  Now it looks Shabby Chic don't you think??

Did You Know I Also Make Bath and Body Products??

Yes, I am also a lover of all things bath and body!  So much so, I make my own and even have an Artfire Site to sell my soap.  Scent has a way of relaxing us and taking our minds to another place.  My motto is "Relax Take A Bath"!  Also there are great benefits to the homemade variety, like being enriched with skin loving vitamins and ingredients that are good for your skin.  The big guys use added detergents in theirs, known as SLS(sodium laurel sulfate).  Can you say YUCK!  Because what this actually does only causes your skin to be more dry and have more residue on it, and who wants that!  So support your local homemade crafter of soap.  Your skin will love you for it!  If you care to take a peek at my line here is the link:  www.nanneyscreek.artfire.com

Love is a Journey

Weddings are such a wonderful thing.  A day to Celebrate A New Beginning, A New Journey.  In this layout I used the paper line Authentique Journey.  I love the blues and greys of the line.  Also this paper line has a vintage feel to it.  Reminds me of the old time wallpapers.  Authentique is a new paper line that was launched recently and their line is exceptional.  Can't wait to see what else they come up with.  To see their paper line visit their web page here.  http://www.authentiquepaper.com/
They also have a have a Halloween Themed paper coming out called Glowing.  Check it out on their FB page.

Altered Paper Mache Book

I have just completed an Altered Paper Mache Book.  It was certainly a challenge, but I'm pleased with the end result.  I used the Graphic 45 "Magic of Oz" Paper Line.  For the binding I used paper that looked like leather that I found at a local art store.  I made this for a swap I'm in over at (Scrap)-Beach.  This is especially for Kim.  Hope you love it Kim!  I'm making it for myself too.  Cause sometimes you just hate to part with things, and this way I don't have to!

Roadside Find

Thomas brought home a roadside find for me the other day.  This metal shelf that he found, in a trash pile.  At first I thought the shelf space between the shelves were to far apart, but then I thought I can put baskets on this.  It would be great for some of scrapbook stuff!  So, I painted it a straw yellow color.  Used a canned spray paint, and put baskets on it that were a pale shade of green and natural straw..  Needless to say the largest basket wouldn't fit so I had to improvise and put a makeshift rise in the lowest shelf so I could use my basket.  Well these are the pictures of it.

I'm still working on the vanity desk.  Went and bought a professional paint sprayer.  By hand was just taking to long.  Seems to use more paint tho, and now I have to go get more paint to complete it.  Almost there!

Coming Soon!  Another Roadside Find.
