Time Flies

Hello All,

I haven't posted in so long, therefore I wanted to take this time to send out an update.  I started a new job back in August, where I work from home as a nurse that deals with workers compensation claims.  I'm finding that I really enjoying it.  Sometimes it gets frustrating to say the least, because I do run across those few who just don't want to work and it's my job to get them back to work after an injury. So, they see me as the EVIL one!  Tee Hee.

Then there are those who love me, because I facilitate their care by making appointments, scheduling this and that, where they would be lost.

With all that said, I haven't crafted much and I miss it so.  Hoping to at least make a batch of soap this weekend. I'm calling it Sugared Fruit.  I be sure to post a picture when I'm done.

What are your plans and what have you all been up to? Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!!

Time Has Flown

Hi everyone!  It's been a busy summer here.  Started a new job as a case manger and I must say I love it so far.  I have not crafted as much I would like or did much more with the coffee venture.  So much to do and so little time.  Also, I've had to close down the Ning site that I had created.  I was just being pulled in too many directions.  I'm sure all of you have been in this very spot at one time or another.  But I have made some recent altered corks and wanted to share the video with you. These were fun to do and would make great charms for mini albums and also ceiling fan pulls (if you reinforce well).  Enjoy!

My Newest Obession

It's no secret that I love coffee.  So much so that I have been busy doing a Coffee Roasting Business Startup.  You can find me on Facebook as https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pungo-Roast-Coffee-Gifts/141284596046069?ref=tn_tnmn .  Website will be coming soon.  Also I'll be including other items as well in the near future.  It's a work in progress, so please bare with me.
I haven't done much on the paper crafting side of things just because I've been so busy.  I cut my work hours back to devote my attention to the coffee, but still plan to do other creative things in the mix of things.  I want to do some Farmer's Markets this year as well.  It will be a long road, but I'm ready to travel it.
God Bless all of you for following my blog and hope each of your summers are filled with Sunshine and Laughter.

Bread Making Adventure

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!  I haven't posted in some time and wanted share my recent bread making experience.  I haven't made bread in many years and from what I could remember it seemed like a lot of work.  Well I've been eying bread recipes on Pinterest.  Have you tried Pinterest yet?  I love it.  Pinterest is a great tool for finding new recipes and saving other things too that you may want to buy or try.  This is a bread recipe that was posted, so yesterday I decided to give it a try.  It stated that this bread could be mixed together in under 2 minutes.  I thought, "Is that all, even I should be able to do this!"  Well, I was in at that point.

Her bread is gorgeous.......can you call bread gorgeous?  Mine didn't turn out quite as pretty as hers, but she's an experienced baker and I'm not.  Here's my version.

I must confess, the first one I made stuck in the pot, was nice but I just couldn't get it out of the darn pot.  Where did I go wrong?   I even put cornmeal in the bottom to help....also I used my stainless steel pot, hum-mm, maybe that is where I went wrong.    My mom had sent me a gift card for Christmas, so off I went and bought an enameled covered cast iron pot.  With this pot the above bread just fell out.  Now I can't wait to try all the different variations with this recipe.

Do you bake bread?  Have any good recipes??
