Wow, What A Busy Week
It was a busy week for me. I started back to work, working now in a Extended Recovery Unit at one of the local Hospitals. Yep, I'm a nurse by trade, who would like to be a Crafter Extraordinaire (and make a living at it). :-) Before I went back to work tho, I finished up some canning of various things from my garden. Now, I'm kinda over it! I canned Tomatoes, Bread & Butter Pickles, Hot Pepper Relish, Pepper Rings, Eggplant Caponata, and of course my all time fave "SALSA". Can we say Tired Now! :-) All in days work, right? I just thought I'd share photos with you all some of my kitchen creations. Enjoy!

1 Attempt at Jewelry Making
The other day I went to a jewelry making class. I was wanting to learn how to make charms and such, but this was actually somewhat different. Not to say I didn't learn anything, because I did learn something and I am also very proud of my new "Butterfly Bracelet"! As the lady at the shop was adding up my beads for my bracelet the whole time I'm thinking this shouldn't be so bad, then she said about $32. That's is when I thought Wow I had better learn a lot! Yeah, and this didn't even include the sign up fee of $15. I can't complain too much as I spend this and more on scrapbook stuff. :-) Just thought I'd share a peek of this pricey creation I made. LOL
Travelogue/Circle Journal
I recently joined in with a group of ladies over a ScrapBeach and we each make a Journal that will pass through the hands of 4 other ladies and then our journal will return to us in about 5 months. We each had to choose a theme for our journals and I chose "Simple Pleasures". Any Who, this is my Journal headed out on its journey. The paper line is aptly called "Journey" from Authentique, which is so beautiful and very top quality!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULeBo2JE-RE

Yummy Strawberry Lemonade Cupcakes!
This recipe was shared with everyone through K-Love Radio Station, and I gave them a try and they were to die for. Below is my picture of the ones I made. Try them, you won't be sorry!!
For the cupcakes: 1 box Lemon Cake Mix
For the cupcake filling: 1 can Strawberry pie filling
1 jar Lemon pie filling
For the Glaze:
1 container frozen lemonade concentrate (thawed)
1 cup powdered sugar
For the Frosting: 1 jar Lemon Frosting
1 jar Strawberry Frosting
Directions Prepare, bake and cool the cupcakes according to package directions. After they've cooled, poke holes with a fork in the tops of the cupcakes. While the cupcakes are baking, puree the can of strawberry pie filling in a food processer or blender. Pour in the jar of lemon pie filling and blend the fillings together.
Also while the cupcakes are baking, mix together the lemonade concentrate and 1 cup powdered sugar until the sugar dissolves. Once the cupcakes have cooled, spoon the glaze over them. (I would recommend having something under your cooling rack to catch the runoff of the glaze.) Fill a decorating bag with the strawberry lemon filling. (Insert Bismarck tip 230 into the bag before you fill it with the filling.) Insert the tip in the top center of the cupcake and squeeze out a small amount of the strawberry lemon filling into the cupcake.
